What Must You Disclose When Selling a Home?

When selling a home you’re required to disclose all known defects. This includes but is not limited to defects with plumbing, the roof, the HVAC, etc. Anything that’s wrong or not working properly in your home should be disclosed. It’s important that you’re honest when you’re selling your home as it could prove to be a HUGE liability if you’re not honest.

Most buyers will get an inspection report, but a best practice is to note all that you know or don’t know on the property. There are a few forms that can help you do this.
