Selling Your Home After Loan Restructuring OR Modification

During the 2008-2010 mortgage crisis many people participated in various loan restructuring or modification or “bailout” programs. One of our clients in particular did but didn’t truly understand what happened or that in the modification another lien was added to the property. So that money that she received to bring her mortgage current would in fact have to be paid back. This came as a $36K lien that popped up AFTER the title work came back.
